The Police & Fire chief reports to the Police & Fire committee with matters regarding their perspective department: The Police Chief reports the following to the Police & Fire Committee:
1. Issues concerning operation of police department. 2. Issues concerning planning and coordinating the police department 3. Personnel policies and policy manual 4. Employment policies 5. Personnel disputes 6. Salaries 7. Vacations 8. Trips/training/etc: by employees of department
The fire chief reports to the Police & Fire committee with matters regarding the fire department:
1. Issues concerning operation of the fire department 2. Issues concerning planning and coordinating the fire department.
Property Committee
Council Member, Walker Moore Council Member, Erie Barker Public Works Director, Scott Jones
The manager of water and sewage reports to the property committee with matters regarding water and sewage. Issues concerning city property:
1. Buildings and real property; 2. Water and sewage; 3. Trash collection; 4. Vehicles; 5. Streets; 6. Parks and recreation; 7. Zoning, etc.; and viii. Etc. 8. Interaction between the city and administrative agencies (state, federal and county) such as EPD, EPA, etc.
Finance Committee
Council Member, Elizabeth (Libby) Bond Council Member, Danny Perkins City Clerk, Pam Dowdy
The city clerk reports to the finance committee with matters regarding operations and with matters regarding finance:
1. Budget issues. The budget will be compiled with input from the department heads, the other committees and when needed, from the mayor and treasurer. 2. Operation of city financial business. 3. Issues concerning federal or state grants. 4. Audits of the city records.
