Business Hours
City offices are open from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except during city observed holidays. The following holidays are observed: New Year's Day; MLK Day; Presidents Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day; July 4th; Labor Day; Veteran's Day; Thanksgiving Day and Friday following; Christmas Eve.; Christmas Day.
City Hall is conveniently located in the heart of the city at 3 E. William Wainwright Street. Water bills, water connection, city taxes, traffic citations can be paid here and business license, building permits, and zoning issues can be obtained by contacting the City Clerk, Brian Smisson, at City of Reynolds, P. City Council Meetings
(The City of Reynolds offers special assistance to anyone wishing to attend a City Council and/or other public meeting. You must notify City Hall of type of need for arrangements to be scheduled in advance of meeting.)
The City government has a mayor and six council members. City Council meetings are held the third Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Train Depot at 22 E. Winston Street. Meetings are scheduled every month to keep the public informed. You are welcome to attend. Agenda items must be submitted by noon on the preceding Friday to the City Clerk Office.
Any resident wishing to address Council must call City Hall, at the latest the Friday prior to the meeting on Monday. Resident comments must be kept to a minimum of 3 minutes.
Services
The City of Reynolds provides water and sewer services to its residents.
Garbage collection is provided to city residents contractually between the City of Reynolds and GFl. Pickup is Wednesday each week. Yard debris pickup is a service provided by the City. A work order is required for this service. Call City Hall at 847-3435 or e-mail waterclerk@reynoldsga.com to place a work order.
Police Department
The City of Reynolds Police Department is located at City Hall at 3 E. William Wainwright Street. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. daily. Police Chief Lonnie Holder and his staff of five are available to serve the community 24 hours a day. Call 911 to contact the police or to report an emergency. If you need an officer dispatched please call 911 the office is unable to dispatch officers.
Public Works Department
Public Works Director, Scott Jones, and his three man crew oversee the water and sewer works as well as maintaining streets and public use facilities.
Fire Department
The City of Reynolds is fortunate to have a 25 member all volunteer Fire Department. Fire calls should be reported by dialing 911.
Ambulance Service
Taylor County ambulances are located in Butler and ambulance service is available by dialing 911.
Community Library
The Reynolds Community Library is located in the completely refurbished Depot directly behind City Hall. Their hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Phone (478) 847-3468.
Multi-Purpose Building (Armory)
The Multi-Purpose Building (Armory) is available to rent on a first come first serve basis. Reservations must be made in person. Call City Hall for details. (478) 847-3435.

NOTICE OF GENERAL ELECTION
City of Reynolds
Notice is hereby given that a General Election for The City of Reynolds will be held
Tuesday, November 2, 2021 to elect
City Council Posts I, II, III, V, VI.
Elections will be held at the National Guard Armory from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Qualifying of candidates shall be held at the Clerk’s Office at Reynolds City Hall
Tuesday, August 17, 2021, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Wednesday, August 18, 2021, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Thursday, August 19, 2021, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
Qualifying fees are $35.00.
All persons who are not registered to vote and who desire to vote in the election may register to vote through the close of business Monday, October 4, 2021.
